Hello all,
I’ve moved this blog! Please update your links.
I am now at
http://blog.sciencegeekgirl.com
If you are subscribed to the blog and are getting this posting, then you are already subscribed through my feedburner RSS feed, you don’t need to do anything!
My correct feed is at http://feeds.feedburner.com/Sciencegeekgirl
My new home page is http://www.sciencegeekgirl.com.
And if any bloggers have had the experience of moving your site and your feed and have some tips for getting back the google juice and maintaining subscribers, please let me know!

When I clicked on the link, it redirected to
http://blog.sciencegeekgirl.com/2008/08/22/blogroll-for-august-22/
which I’m guessing is not what you want!
No, definitely not what we want. Having some interesting redirect issues. So the correct address, now, is http://blog.sciencegeekgirl.com/
~sigh~ :c)
Stephanie,
I feel your pain. I too sort of moved my blog in the past. I didn’t really move servers, but I went from not using WordPress to using WordPress. I simply made a new subdomain (blog.dotphys.net) for WordPress and just started reposting my stuff. It seems like that is what you are doing also.
Actually, I think it worked out ok. I got to just take the old posts I liked and I posted them at a time I was busy with other stuff. This way I was able to maintain a consistent post rate by ‘cheating’. I consider my old blog (which still has some stuff I can repost) to be like a blog post capacitor.
Yes, everything should be working now (sorry things were wonky while we were working out the redirect). Yes, we did just what you did, Rhett, and made blog.sciencegeekgirl.com and redirected the sciencegeekgirl.wordpress.com there. So things should be seamless for my users now. Not planning to repost old postings (but that’s very time efficient of you!), since to an outside user, it should just look pretty much the same.
But please do update your blogroll with the new blog.sciencegeekgirl.com, so all that good google juice goes to me directly. Thanks!
